Celebrating Fall in the Ozarks

  • Ozark Fall Farmfest – 3001 N. Grant Ave, Springfield, MO
October 4-6, 2019  The Ozark Fall Farmfest is held annually on the first weekend of October at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds in Springfield, Missouri. Come out and see livestock exhibits, antique tractors, and stock dog demonstrations! With over 900 agricultural and rural living exhibits and more than 500 head of registered livestock on display, it has been deemed the Ozarks’ largest agricultural event. Parking and admission are free!
  • Republic Pumpkin Daze – N. Main Street, Republic, MO
October 5, 2019  Giant fruits and vegetables fill the streets of downtown Republic at the Republic Pumpkin Daze. Come out and see the larger-than-life pumpkins, and local arts and crafts vendors. Treat your taste buds to hamburgers, ice cream, and cotton candy, and more! See some of the largest pumpkins, gourds, squash, and other vegetables, and check out the fun themed contests that keep the crowds coming back for more every year. There are tons of amazing things to see and do at this beloved local festival!
  • Apple Butter Makin’ Days – 425 E. Mt. Vernon Blvd, Mt. Vernon, MO
October 11-13, 2019  Stroll through a number of booths featuring hand-made crafts, clothing, great food and lots more. There will be a parade, live music, entertainment, pedal tractor races, a terrapin race, bubble gum blowing contest, weiner dog races, apple pie eating contest, mustache and beard growing contest, fun games, kids activities and more. Attend live demonstrations, and watch how apple butter will be cooked using old methods in huge copper kettles over open fires. Apple Butter Makin’ Days will be held on the courthouse square in Mt. Vernon.
  • Pets & Pumpkins – Park Central Square, Springfield, MO
October 19, 2019  Whether you bring your own pet, or come to check the cuteness, Pets & Pumpkins will be one of the most adorable festivals you’ve ever seen. All kinds of dogs, cats, pigs, and more come out dressed in costume. Some things planned are a child and pet friendly spooky maze, live music, games, food and one of the biggest costume contests and parades you have ever seen! Categories include: Best Pet/Owner Combo, Most Original, Funniest, Cutest, Scariest, and Judge’s Overall Favorite. Parade line-up starts at 3:15pm on Park Central East next to Civil Kitchen.The pet parade is definitely something you do not want to miss out on seeing.  ]]>
