3. Induction Ranges
As the movement towards energy efficiency and non-fossil fuel grows, we’ll expect to see more people adopting induction ranges. If you aren’t familiar, an induction stovetop heats food differently than other cooktops by using magnetic coils. When turned on, these coils create a magnetic current that attaches to an induction-compatible pot and heats it.
You can boil water in a minute and it offers very accurate, fast, and consistent heating. However, there is a learning curve for cooking and you will need to buy new pots and pans if you don’t already own cast iron or stainless-steel.
Besides being better for the environment and fast to cook, induction ovens are extremely safe to use. There is no open flame and the surface remains cool to touch during the cooking process.
